Hello there! It’s been long!! Well, today I’ve got something for you that has helped me a lot. This came to my mind spontaneously and it made me feel so much better about everything in general. It gave me a positive impression of incidents happening in life.
I hope reading this gives you the insight it gave me! Happy reading :)
Oh and yes, vote, comment and share please? It’ll mean a lot to me 🫶🏻
Imagine you are fond of collecting stamps. You have a box where you put all the stamps in. You love them with all your heart.
When you’re young or in school you have time to go over those regularly. But as you grow older, you have more responsibilities. You`re in a sphere of change. So,you keep the box away on the top shelf; safely. You don’t open it for days or even months. After a while when you have some free time, you open the box again, only to find one or two of them tearing apart. The rest are just as before. The damaged ones hurt you a lot because of course; you are very close to your collection.
So what's your first instinct? you try to tape the ruined ones. And put it away again thinking it’s okay now. A few days later you open the box again to find one of the damaged ones seems fine after using tape but the other won’t mend. And suddenly you realize the importance of the ones that are still normal. So you do something more to prevent the good ones from ruining;laminate them.
Now imagine this box to be your heart and all these stamps are all the people you're close with. Stamps that remain intact are your parents and a few other people who love you. The ones that mend after putting the tape on are the ones who require a little affection along the way.
And the ones that don’t mend? Well they are supposed to be the ones you lose. Now all of these are equally important to you. But to all of them you aren’t as equally important. And you lose a few. But because you lose them, you learn to value the others who are important for you and vice versa because sometimes we are so busy trying to mend things with someone that we forget to appreciate people who were there for us all along.
And the ones you lose, well they aren’t bad. They just don’t fit your life equation. You lost someone who didn’t have the same respect for you as you had for them. And that’s okay because they might admire someone else that way. Not all feelings have to be mutual.
I feel it’s important to lose a few people on the way, the ones where mutuality is not present. And it’s vice versa too; you could be the person leaving someone’s life. It’s for everyone.
Along the way you’ll find people who you’ll find worth being a part of you. Some will stay, some will leave. I’ve heard people say everything happens for a reason, this is probably it, don’t you think?
I hope you liked it! Do share, comment, vote and let me know what you think!!
xoxo

Do you think that constant care would be more efficient than a little affection (lamination)?
I hope the rest of the postcards never tear
Profound thought and wording. Would absolutely love to read more!
